Phumlani Ngongoma also known as PG,was born in Ncwadi a village in the outskirts of Pietermaritzburg in South Africa, KwaZulu Natal,
PG is a self-taught music producer and his love for music began in his early years, while being surrounded by music lovers who listened to a variety of music genres.
He spent most of his childhood moments with rhythm and vibrations of good music around him and was introduced to house music in 90s and gained much appreciation through mix tapes and records.
In 2016, PG got into making music and was influenced by Elementicsoul & Brightmusiq (from Pietermaritzburg). PG produces House Music such as Soulful House, Deep House, Jazzy House etc.
His first official release (NDIMI NAWE FEAT. FUDGE) got released under COOL STAFF RECORDS (France),
and has been charted by DJ’s around the globe including the Legendary DJ SPINNA. His second release (IN THE DARK FEAT.PHUMLA SIBIYA) was an independent release was also well received.
PG is also a co-owner of the record label called THE UNDERGROUND RECORDS, and focuses on deep house songs from around South Africa, He also owns a clothing brand called Eargasm, and hosts a Deep House show named “Eargasm Radio Show”.
